Getting to Know You

Well, we had the engagement party and no one showed up.  Recently there has been a lot of gossip going on at the fire station.  It appears several people think Karen yells at Gerald and Calyn when they are at the fire station.  Gerald has tried to explain that they don't really know Karen and that if they did, they would understand what was going on those times they were "misunderstanding".

Even Karen's so called "best friend" at the fire station (K.S.) ended up not coming.  It really makes me mad at how people will make judgements about people they haven't taken the time to get to know.  It's real easy to watch people and make a judgement on their actions without knowing the circumstances.

Karen's dad and my best friend, Janice came and we ended up talking and watching an old home video of Karen when she was 11 years old and taking ice skating lessons.  We had a good time but I know down inside Karen was really hurt.

All I have to say is that no matter what, you will reap what you sow.  I've seen it happen before in my own life when people have mistreated others that later on in their own life, things happen that are a direct result of the way they treated others.
