I'd like to tell whoever thought of it to take a hike!  This morning I heard on the radio that they are considering raising the federal tax on gasoline by 40 cents per gallon.  That could be about $35 a month for me and my little car.  I guess my next car had better be a hybrid.  Unless I can get them to move our offices close enough for me to walk or ride a bike.

This tax hike is so they can pay to take care of the roads.  You and I both know they will say "oh, look, we have this money now that we can use for this or that, hey, let's give ourselves a raise."  They will find a way to not save the money for the roads but will spend it somewhere else, then they will want to raise more money for the roads.  And, of course, if gas goes up so does the price of everything else.  It's the "Incredibly Shrinking Paycheck"!

Why can't they stop spending money on things that don't really benefit the people?  I am so sick and tired of politicians.  They may think they don't make much money but they make more than I do and do they even have to pay taxes?
